The standard ISO 17025:2005 describes the general requirements for the competence of testing laboratories. MicroMol was audited by the DACH (Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle Chemie) according to that standard. The auditors confirmed the high quality of the quality management system and the testing procedures implemented at MicroMol.
The whole process of testing starting with the offer of services, the handling of samples, the validation of test methods, the internal calibration and qualification procedures and the final reporting was approved. The whole team was a little nervous, as told by QM manager Ginette Berth. Without reason; the auditors confirmed the high professional competence of the team and the testing methods.
The next step will be the certification acccording to the GLP principles. In difference to the anglo-american usances GLP defines in the EU only tests for the testing of chemicals, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics according to the Chemical law. The GLP principles are already implemented in the ISO 17025.
The MicroMol GmbH and its excellence team provides its customers highly sophisticated tests like the testing of master cellbanks for identity and purity. MicroMol is one of the few labs that can test MCBs for phage contaminations. MicroMol has a broad platform of molecular biological, protein chemistry, cell culturing and immunological techniques. Besides the testing of existing products these techniques are used to develop new innovative products, too.
