Allergoscan project funded

Research for easy allergen detection

Funding for a research program with expenses of 500.000 € was granted to MicroMol. Within the Allergoscan project epitopes of common food allergens will be identified. Using this information, new detection kits will be developed. The aim is to allow for a fast an sensitive detection of food allergens in production environments even for novice of this field. The epitopes will be identified by the PeptideScan technique established at MicroMol.

The project was elected to be funded under the auspices of the Biotechnologie Baden-Württemberg program.
