This ready-to-use molecular weight marker for SDS PAGE is prestained. It containes covalently stained standard proteins:
Aprotinin (bovine lung), lysozyme (hen egg), trypsin inhibitor (soy bean), carbonic anhydrase (bovine erythrocytes), ovalbumin (hen egg), serum albumin (bovine), beta galactosidase (recombinant from E.coli), myosin (bovine). The apparent molecular weight of the stained proteins ranges from approx. 10 to 240 kDa.
The marker is suitable for controlling gel run and transfer efficiency during Western-blotting.
It allows easy orientation of protein size on membranes. The sizes given on the figure are typical results.
The bands are easily visible in SDS mini-gels and on Western-blot membranes with 5 µl of the marker. For the accurate determination of protein size on Western-blots, see our Mark-It West and Mark-It West His kits.
Package content: 100 µl (20 lanes), instruction leaflet
